Hello Class and Families
I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful day! We are coming close to the end of the year and I just wanted to remind the class of a couple of things and give the parents some information. Students, for those who wanted to continue to work on your glogs at home, you have until tomorrow at 12:00am to work on them, as I mentioned I will be marking them on Sunday Evening. Please remember we are going on our trip this Wednesday, I still have some permission slips not returned. We will be leaving first thing in the am, and will bring a drink and snack with us. We will be returning in time for lunch. Please remember our hot lunch program has finished for the year, so students will need to bring their own lunches and drinks each day. We have our fun activity day on June 22nd, you may want to send extra drinks with them that day. On Thursday June 16, I will be sending the students home with any "new supplies" they still have left so as you can put them away for next year. We will be having a celebration of our year on Thursday June 23rd, if you wish to send anything in as part of our years celebration you are more then welcome to do so. Friday June 24th is the last day of school for the students and it is a half day.
Have a great weekend! :)

Schedule Change

Good Morning and Happy Spring
It is hard to believe but we are into May already. For most of us it also means we are well in to our preparation for our Provincial Testing. We wanted to let you know that in preparation for this we have changed our schedules around some. We will now have the majority of our Language Arts Classes in the Morning and our Math Classes will be moved to the afternoon. Also, because this is such a short week for the students, my class will have two short writing assignments for homework this week. The first one is due on Tuesday May 3rd and the second will be due on Wednesday May 4th. Thank you in advance for your understanding of these changes. Have a wonderful Spring week. :)

Glogster

Dear Families of Ms. O'Blenes' Class I am happy to let you know that your children now have their accounts set up with Glogster! They are having fun learning about gloging, which is a combination of web paging and bloging. We will be using this to enhance their project base learning, and teach them new forms of technology. Since this is an online site they are able to work on their glogs from home as well. If you have any questions or concerns about this then please feel free to contact me at the school or through e-mail. Thanks and enjoy watching your child grow in knowledge of the 21st Century!! :)

Discovery Education

Dear Families Our District has a wonderful resource available for us and our families to use at home. Discovery Education is a fantastic web site full of many resources. It is free for you to use at home and we use it at school as well. Please remind your children to use it when ever possible and to check their accounts because I do send them different assignments through this program. Have fun discovering new learning experiences!
Hello Everyone Just a note to let you know that we have sent home information on our Science Fair Projects. Gr. 4's projects are due on April 20th and the English students need to hand in thier booklets with their projects. They are free to display their projects in any format they wish. Have fun with your experiments and reports! :)
