Have a wonderful break!
Hi Everyone
Just wanted to wish you all a happy and safe break! I will see you again on Monday March 8th.
Have a good rest, play outside lots and read lots. :) Just a couple of friendly reminders, our Olympic Projects are due on March 12th. I sure hope you are enjoying them, I can't wait to hear about the hockey game when I get back. Our book reports are due on March 19th, so don't forget to keep reading your book. I believe there will be three more weeks for Monday afternoon tutoring. Take care everyone! :)

Miss Gorman's Class
It is a big week for my grade four class this week!
They will be writing a Social Studies quiz tomorrow on the three reasons that explorers explore (knowledge, power, and wealth)
On Thursday they write a Math test on modeling multiplication problems (rectangles and using base ten blocks), and also using the expanded form method to solve:
54 X 6
(50 + 4) x 6
(50 x 6) + (4x6)
300 + 24
= 324
On Friday they will have to do a demand piece of writing that explains the procedure of something (playing a game, directions, or how to make something). The last demand piece that was completed in class was sent home today - please review to see what 6 traits of writing they are being graded on.

Of course, they are also expected to be reading each night at home.
Keep up all of your hard work!!!
